What to expect on your first visit

So you're thinking about visiting Parkway Baptist Church in Asheville? Great! We know that your first visit to a church can be nerve-racking so we want to make it as easy as possible. Don't worry, you won't be called out to give your name in front of everybody or asked to sing a solo! We hope to answer some of your questions you may have below.

What are the services like?

Every service at Parkway Baptist Church is carefully planned so that you will have a great church experience. All of our church services are traditional. The services begin with uplifting music, prayer, and a time of greeting, followed by a practical message from the Bible.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Parkway Baptist Church for our guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Parkway Baptist.

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Parkway Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

Will I be asked to do anything?

Everyone who attends Parkway Baptist Church receives a visitor’s card. We would appreciate it very much if you would fill out the visitor’s card with as much information as you feel comfortable giving. We would love to be able to send you a thank you note or email for attending. At no time will you be asked to introduce yourself or do anything that might be embarrassing.

Where do we go?

Just come in the front door of the church. You can sit in any seat that you want. We do not have assigned seats so you do not have to worry about sitting in someone's seat. If you have children they can go to the nursery or downstairs to Children's Church during our greeting time. Don't worry, our youth workers will show you where to go.

How do I get there?

Our address is 3 Campground Rd in Asheville, NC. We are located in East Asheville across from the Sonic on Tunnel Road. Once you turn off Tunnel Rd onto Maple Springs Rd, you will see the church on the left. We are located on the same road as Bell Elementary School.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Our contact information can be found by clicking by visiting our Contact Us page.
